We're starting the program today. Not everything is in place yet, but you may start earning now. If you have a friend that you would like to invite to join KidPub, give them the FIRST FOUR LETTERS (or numbers) of your KidPub login name. There is a place at the bottom of the registration form for them to put in this code. They will need to click on the regular JOIN KIDPUB link on the front page to start the process. When they return from PayPal they will se the registration form.
For example, if your login name is SummerWriter111, give your friends the first four letters: SUMM. They should put this in the box on their registration form. If your login name is TD123, give them TD12.
For each paid membership that you refer, you will earn $1.50. We will award this as an Amazon gift certificate once per month. The first certificates will be sent out on August 15th, then September 15th, and so on.

This is from the KidPub Shameless Exploitation Division. We're thinking about introducing a reward program for members who bring in new members. The way the program looks now is that each member would receive $1.50 for each new member that they brought to KidPub. The rewards would be given as Amazon gift certificates, just like we use for our contests.
The goal is, of course, to increase our membership, which means more folks reading your stories and posting their own.
I'm curious to know what you think of such a program and whether you think that it would meet the goal of bringing new members on board.

We'd like to keep it as
We'd like to keep it as simple as possible. Our thought is that we'd add a box to the registration form, something like INVITED BY or maybe REFERRED BY, and the new member would put your name or code in. We'll make a little page that you can print out and give to friends that has your code on it.
We'd send out reward gift certificates on some schedule, perhaps once a month. A buck and a half doesn't sound like much but it could quickly add up, and at Amazon you can buy just about anything you want.

because every time someone signs up, they get like 12.95 minus the 1.50 is like 11:45 so like lets say 10 ppl join in 2 weeks...then they will get like over hundred. (I dont feel like doing math) so yeah. anyway I think its a good idea! but i dont know many people who like to write...:(
