When the two boys and the girl with them made a treehouse, they stayed in it for awhile on the first day they were in it. The treehouse was their favorite place to go, so they could have fun. Then, one of the boys named Billy, wanted to climb to the top of the tree. The other boy named Joe and the girl with them named Jill told him not to climb to the top of the tree. Billy didn't listen to them.
He climbed to the top of the tree and looked out into the woods. Suddenly his foot slipped. He grabbed a branch before he fell. Joe saw him and got a ladder. He put the ladder on the tree and started to climb.
When he was halfway up the ladder, the ladder began to break. Joe ran faster up the ladder, but the ladder broke before he could reach where Billy was. Joe grabbed the branch that was near him. Joe tried to reach Billy, but the next tree branch was too high. "Are you okay?" asked Jill, in the treehouse.
"No, we're not okay!" said Joe. Joe looked up at Billy. "Don't worry, Billy," he said, "Jill will get us down". Down in the treehouse, Jill went to get some help.
Joe and Billy waited for Jill to return. Suddenly Billy's hands began to slip. "My hands are slipping", he yelled at Joe. "Hang on!", said Joe. Then Joe saw something. It was a fire engine. Jill was in it with firemen. Suddenly the fire engine stopped. The fire engine couldn't start up. "Get the ladder and maybe we can run to the tree and save the two boys!" said one of the firemen to another fireman.
The fireman who was told to get the ladder went to get it. The fireman looked, but the ladder wasn't there. The fireman ran to the fireman who told him to get the ladder. "I looked, but the ladder wasn't there!", said the fireman. Jill looked up into the tree.
"Just hang on Billy and Joe! Just hang on!", she yelled. Up in the treehouse, Billy and Joe looked at each other. "Now what are we going to do?", Billy asked Joe. Before Joe could answer, he heard a growling sound. Suddenly a giant came to the tree. It was big, bigger than a house.
The giant spotted the two boys. It took Billy and Joe off the branches and put them safely in the treehouse. Then it went back into the tree and went back to sleep. Jill ran up to the treehouse. She threw her arms around Billy and Joe and gave them a big hug. Billy and Joe blushed. "Your alright", she said.
Billy, Joe, and Jill went to the treehouse a lot. They never forgot their adventure with the giant that saved Billy and Joe's life.
