The Kitten

Oh little kitten,

fur so soft,

why do you purr so loud?

Owner of mine,

I cannot lie,

I purr so loud with a happy heart.

Oh little kitten,

fur so soft,

why do you mow so low?

Owner of mine,

I cannot lie,

I mow so low with a heavy heart.

Oh little kitten,

fur so soft,

why do you hiss like an angry snake?

Owner of mine,

I cannot lie,

I hiss like an angry snake,

with an angry heart.

Oh little kitten,

fur so soft,

why do you put your trust in me?

Owner of mine,

I cannot lie,

I put my trust in you because of your love.
