When I was little, I wore size 5 in baby shoes. Now I wear size 5 in

womens That’s a big difference! Sometimes I wear size six in womens.

I even sometimes I can wear four in tennis shoes.

When I was little, I played the plastic recorder. Now I play the

wood oboe in the Hudson PEP band. My teacher is Mr. Slater. I will play

the flute in the marching band. That is because the oboe does not march in

the marching band.

When I was little, people got to babysit me. Now I babysit other

people. I sometimes when get paid for it. I usually babysit my sister

when my mom goes to the store. I sometimes get paid for that but not

usual.

When I was little, I swam with floaties, and jumped off the side of

the pool. Now I jump off the high diving board. I used to take diving

lessons but now I just do what I know to do. Sometimes I just make

things up as I go.

When I was little, My mom did my hair. But now I do my own hair. I

got tired of my mom hurting my head. So I started doing it just the way

I like. My mom used to get bumps in my hair, but I get it just the way

I like it. One day she said, do it yourself and see how good you can

do it. To my surprise I could!

When I was little, my mom picked out my clothes for school. Now I

pick out my own clothes, because I did not like what she wanted me to

wear. So she lets me do by myself. She even gives me money to go buy

my own clothes. Sometimes she still gets me shorts and jeans.

When I was little, I stayed at home and slept all day long. Now I go

to school, gymnastics, voice lessons, piano, and play basketball. But

now my piano teacher is out having her baby so I don’t have to go to

piano lessons. I have not started basketball yet, but I am going to

start in November.

When I was little, I built tents in the living room with my sister.

Now I play outside with my friends in the neighborhood. Sometimes I

play kick ball with my sister. But it is hard to play with just two

people.

When I was little, I got put in timeout. Now I get grounded from

things like the computer, TV, or friends. I don’t get grounded very often

though. Which is a very very good thing.

When I was little, I went to pre school at SFLC (School For Little

Children). Now I go to Hudson PEP and I am in the fifth grade. I

think

I like elementary school better than pre- school, but I have no idea

why.

When I was little, an adult or my mom and dad had to hold my hand to

cross the street. Now I can cross the street all by myself. I am so

glad. I even had to hold an adults hand when I crossed a parking lot.

When I was little, my mom washed my hair. Now I wash my own hair.

That is because that my mom hurt my head so bad. I also like it better

because I can use my own shampoo that I buy from the store.

When I was little, I slept in a crib. Now I sleep in a big bed. I

also don’t have baby stuff throughout my room. But when I was a baby,

I had bears, elephants, and monkeys hanging up in my room.

When I was little, I could only write in print. Now I know how to

write in cursive and calligraphy. I am glad I know how to write in

cursive because it is a lot faster. I am just now learning

calligraphy, but I have my own pen and ink.

When I was l little, my mom painted my fingernails and toenails. Now

I can paint them all by myself. I also paint them really weird colors

like orange, blue, hot pink, and purple. My mom just painted my

fingernails her color, which was red.

Now I am 11 and I can do almost anything I want!!!
