One dark and lonely night as I was dusting off my broomstick, I heard the strangest sound. CRACKLE! THUD! THUMP! And there I saw an enormous ghost. It had a eerie yellow glow. He told me in a whisper, "There is a mystery in the dark castle, and it made me this big!" I said, "Wow, that is cool!" Some mystery made the ghost that big. The ghost said, "Halloween is the only day I come back to normal size." He said it to me in a whisper. I heard a hoot and I was afraid. But I wanted to do it; I wanted to go to the castle with the ghost.
It was Halloween, and I met the ghost at the castle. I had my witch costume on and the ghost said "a goblin did this to me!" I chuckled, "Now we just have to find the goblin and the ghost will get small again." The wind blew outside, it sounded like a rattle. There was the goblin and now the ghost is back to normal because the goblin changed him back. But there was another mystery - the ghost was gone! I said, "It's impossible!" I didn't know where to go. I tried to go out the door, but it was locked. The house creaked. I went upstairs. The stairs went around in a circle. And when I got to the top, I saw the strangest thing I have ever seen, a fifty foot scarecrow! It said, "Your ghost friend is in this castle somewhere. You can only find him tomorrow." Then the scarecrow vanished into thin air! I looked around more in the castle. It wasn't really scary. The next night came. I searched all around, and I couldn't find the ghost! It was almost midnight. I saw a creepy door. I went in and saw the ghost! He flew out of the castle and flew me home.
