"I dunno, Gabbie. I really dunno." I muttered as I walked across the school pavement to the basketball court. My best friend, Gabbie, pulled my hand. "Oh c'mon, Thaia, you
know you'll make it." I sighed. Today was the day...I would finally try out for
my school's cheerleading squad. We'd call it RVM, for Red Valley Middle. The sun
shone on my long, brown hair, and I looked at Gabbie. We'd been best friends since
first grade, and now, in seventh, she and I mantained our friendship perfectly.
But we were so different...Gabbie was tall and had a whitish-blonde hair up to her
waist. She had a lot of whitish freckles and peachy skin. Her eyes were round and
cerulean. She was so skinny! She was one of those lucky girls that, no matter how much
they ate, still looked as slim as ever. I was slim, too, but hey, if one Friday night
I pigged out on chocolate cake and soda, it was apple slices for me the next day!
(You know what I mean...) I have nice hair, I guess. But it's such a DUH color...just
plain brown. I have slangted brown eyes and I'm pretty much tan. I'm shorter than Gabbie
and I have really long eyelashes. Gabbie says they're cute, but...oh, I dunno...*flutter
flutter...* Plus: Gabbie had a boyfriend! He's in eight grade. He has dark brown hair
and brown eyes, (but nothing like me!!!). He has a perfect nose and broad shoulders.
In fact, he is in RVM's football team. He is soooo sweet! But when he sees me, he waves
and smiles a perfect teeth smile. And then he sees Gabbie and it's a totally different
world. They have been going out for eight months already! They are super steady.The fact that 'Gabrielle Samantha McWiald' is 'Roger Alison''s girlfriend makes Gabbie super
popular. That gives me some popularity too...Gabbie S. McWiald's 'trusty partner'.
Gabbie's family (her four year old cutie sister Megan, her mom, her dad,and her baby brother Andrew)are All-American. My family (My mom, my dad, my Aunt Anita and my Uncle Jose, and my
sixteen year old brother Alex) are Colombian. My name, Thaia Macarena Boldana, is
really weird, I know, but I love it. THAIA...so romantic...well, I've told you enough for
now, you have to check episode two to see what happens next!
