New at School 2

Before recess,i waited for Daniel to give me the tour of the school.He had to stay after for about 2 minutes to help Mrs.Wissman pass out some math papers for after class.But before he got to me,Josh got to me.

"Hey,I heard what Daniel said about me.About being the class clown and idiot.Please dont believe him.He`s always telling everyone how bad i am in class."he said.Josh looked serious for the first time I ever looked into his eyes.After he had said that,Daniel came out of the class room.Josh turned around and rushed out of the hallway and out onto the field.

"Hey,was Josh bothering you,or something?"Daniel asked with concern in his eyes.I turned around to look at him."No,as a matter of fact,he told me that you like to spread rumors about him around the class room,"I replied,with anger washing over my eyes.

"You dont really believe that do you?"he asked.He looked so cute when he looked that way.

"I dont know,i mean,i havent known you for long.Only a couple of hours,thats all.So far,you dont seem to be the type that would say that."I said.Okay,okay,i know.It sounded sappy,but dont rub it in.I was just telling the truth,wasnt I??????

"Good.Thanks."he responded,with he gleam coming back into his eyes.

I smiled at him.He put his arm around my shoulder and lead me around the school.Daniel showed me the closest bathroom,principals office,and the quickest way to get to our classroom from where the buses dropped us off in the morning.

Before i knew it,the bell rang for lunch.I peared down at my watch.It was only 12:00 though.How could lunch be so early?"Hey,Daniel?"I asked,"it`s only 12:00.Why do you guys have lunch so early?"

He looked at me,frowning."what?are you saying that at your old school you had lunch later?

I decided to change the subject."O,forget about it.Lets just go to lunch.Im starving.I hope the lunch lines arent long."

"Cool.we`re both buying lunch.Maybe would could stand in line together.Do you wanna stand in line with me,Six?"

I nodded my head.We walked to the multipurpose room together.So far,my day has been great.I couldnt wait till we got back to class.But before we got to the lunch room,I couldnt wait to get home.
