Everyday
By Kiowa

Everyday I find myself
Wondering why all these people
Act the way they do and
Do the things they do.

Everyday I shake my head
In a sad disbelief
That people can be so clueless.

Everyday I thank God
For the person I am
And for everything He has given me.

Everyday I sigh in sadness
When I find my friend has flubbed up
When a class mate receives a referral
When I see on the news all that is bad.

Where is all the good?
Where is all the peace?
Where is all the happiness?
Where is all the love?
Where has it all gone?

Everyday I feel like crying
When I see the pain
Locked away deep inside
A loved one’s eyes.

Everyday I have to be strong
Because I know people need me
To be strong for them.

Everyday I hope that He
Will give this world and
the ones I know who have messed up
a second chance to fix their wrongs
and make everything right…

Where is all the hope?
Where is all the joy?
Where is all the righteousness?
Where is all the love?
Where has it all gone?
