Alene, Not Alien- Chapter 2

I walked into the trailer. It was decent inside. Tiny, but decent. My dad plugged in his laptop as soon as he got in.

"At least there's electricity, eh, Alene?" I nodded slowly. He then pointed down the thin hallway. "Your rooms to the left." Dad said. I nodded again. Then I thought of something. My dad had used the excuse that he had been hired by some computer company. But he then said he would be unemployed for a while. What? I decided to ask him. Dad explained that he wanted to get hired by a computer company.

"So wait, we moved here for no good reason?" I said

"Well, we wanted you to live someplace other than boring old Wisconsin! You've got to experience life, Alien hunny."

There is was. My dreaded nickname of Alien. I groaned.

"Dad, I told you not to call me that! People are SO gonna think the worst of me."

Dad just laughed. I sighed and went into my room. It could have been a closet it was to tiny. I then resolved that I would never, EVER let anyone see my room from my new school.

This was the first of many promises I would make to myself in my new home.
