The sun was hot and beating down hard on my neck from the tinted windows of the gray mini van. I was about to complain about the weather, hoping my mother would crack a window or something when my dad broke to silence. "We're here!" He called pulling into a loooooong driveway. The gray-blue ranch sitting on top of the hill was surrounded with crysanthamuns and tiger lillys. The clouds made a perfect touch to the seen. A beautiful summer day. It was almost like a fairy tale. But not quite. A large U-Haul sat at the top of the hill. Just in front of the garage. Two girls, whom had been playing in the sprinkler, game to gawk at us, the new kids. The first one, my father had said, was around my age. She had big blue eyes the twinkled and long, long blonde hair, reaching almost to her waist. She was a bit shorter than me and I could see that she wasnt excatly my age. But close enough. The other girl, my father had said, was the first's sister, Though we came soon to find out that she wasnt. She had quite short strawberry blonde hair very, very thin and she was much much younger than I. She had also blue eyes. Big, wide, actuallly full of curiosty and questions. Questions about me. I slowly opened the car door and my eyes fell on the two, who were standing at the fence like to puppys waiting for a treat. Then both spoke at once. "I'm Georgia! The first one exclaimed tossing her blonde hair onto her shoulder. "I'm Melissa!" the second cried trying also to toss her short hair over her shoulder, though it didn't work. "Wait a minute" I said pointing at the two "Names again" Melissa and Georgia looked at eachother. "Melissa" "Georgia". I smiled "Thank you, much better". The lookes puzzled for a moment. "But what's your name?" Georgia asked. I sighed. I'd forgotten to give my own name. "Aurora Malon" I stuck out my hand. Georgia took is and gave it a nice hard shake. "A-rurao-a" Melissa looked to Georgia for help. "It's pronounced A-rora-a" she explained. Melissa still looked puzzled. "Just call me Arie". She smiled and stuck out her hand. "Nice to meet you Arie". I looked to my family, whome were carring boxes into the house and fowned. "Got alot of unpacking to do" I explained "I can play later though". Georgia frowned and Melissa smiled. "Sure!" they both exclaimed.

The afternoon hd been well spent. After meeting Georgia and Melissa I helped unload the boxes from the car into the living room and then help unpack and put everything in it's place. After most of the things that we would need were unpacked I went outside and helped my father and Uncle Jason unload bed, tables, chairs, etc., from the U-Haul. By that time it was already the late afternoon but mother let me play anyway. I walked over to Georgia's and rang the doorbell. A muffled voice came from inside "Who is it?" It asked. I smiled. I oculd see an eye poking out form under the curtain. "It's Aurora". The door flung open and Georgia and Melissa's faces crowed the doorway."Of course it is!" exclaimed Melissa whom was obviously trying real hard to impress Georgia. "Can we play?" I asked. "Sure!" Georgia welcomed me into her house and went into the kitchen. After a moment of two she brought out a small jar and a lid. The lid though had holes jabbed into the top. "You can't carry jelly in THAT!" I cried. Melissa laughed. "Well, you can't!" I defended myself. "It's not for jelly or anything like that!" Georgia exclaimed. "We're going to cath fireflys!". I looked at her. "You have fireflys here?!" I asked astonishly. "Why of course!". She led me by the hand out onto her deck. We went into her side yard under some trees and I saw a million little green lights buzzing around. As the girls ran here and ther chasing after the mariculous little bugs I stood in pure bliss. I'd never experienced anything like this. "Well, you arent going to catch anything just standing there". Georgia exclaimed. So I began to chase the little bugs too. I caught many many of them and then we let them go. Soon Melissa was called in. Georgia invited me into her house and we stayed up the whole night talking. I slept oer and it was the best night I'd ever had.
