Today was another exciting soccer day; it was also our last game of the season. We, red team were currently losing 4-3. Some of my friends were also watching, and they looked disappointed. Then somebody passed the ball to me and the people on the red side went crazy. I tried to shoot at the goal, but unfortunately I missed. The red side groaned as the goalie on the other team kicked the ball. But he couldn’t kick very far because I blocked the ball and scored.
Now we were tied 4-4. My friends slapped me a high five as the game continued. We worked our way up the field. I passed the soccer ball to my teammate and he kicked a crazy shot that missed the goal completely. Soon, my friends motioned me to come. I came and they whispered a strategy that I could use to score and win. I quickly twirled around and passed the other team’s defense and shot. The team was getting excited, but just when the ball was going to go inside the net, the coach shouted, “Injury!” Everybody froze and my friend’s mouth turned into a circle. I could tell that he was angry because his face was turning red. But I still knew that if I try the strategy to spin in circles and to shoot again, we would win the most important game of the season.
The referee made a drop ball right in front of the goal! And then offside! I was stunned. Just then the other team accidentally touched the ball and kicked the ball into the goal! But wait, the other team made a big mistake. Man, they kicked the ball into their own goal! The referee said, “Game.” The red side jumped and cheered as we won 4-5 for the last game of the season.
