Once upon a time, there were two boys named Sam and Greg. They were good friends. Sam was visiting Greg’s house, they went up the stairs to Greg’s room. There, Sam saw a humongous white egg, which was about 3 feet long and 1½ feet tall.

“I got it from my friend, but it never hatched. I guess it’s rotten,” said Greg.

Sam looked at the egg sadly and asked, “Did you have anything hot?”

“No,” answered Greg.

Sam quickly went downstairs and told Greg to give him a frying pan. Greg took three hours to find the biggest frying pan in the house. Sam poured the water in the frying pan, and boiled it on the stove. He turned off the stove and put the egg into the boiling water.

“OH NO!!!!!” bellowed Greg.

Sam answered gently, “ Don’t worry, the egg is getting heat to hatch.” They carried the frying pan upstairs to Greg’s room. They watched the egg as days passed. They waited for a whole year, but the egg still hadn’t hatched. It lied in the frying pan, not moving at all.

It was a week before Sam’s birthday. At school Sam and Greg were talking about the egg and when it could possibly hatch.

“ I told you it’s rotten,” complained Greg. Sam didn’t answer. He was still confident that it would hatch.

A week passed and finally, it was Sam’s birthday. Sam’s friends went to Sam’s house. They jumped around in the backyard and played games in the house. Then, Sam and his friends went to the kitchen for the cake time. They cut the cake and started lighting the candles. Sam’s friends and family sang The Happy Birthday Song and told him to make a wish. Sam wished that he had great presents. He blew the candle wishing his wish would come true.

The first present was a Lego kit, which had seven hundred sixty pieces. The second was also a Lego kit. Then Sam pulled out the rest of them and all of them were Legos too.

Sam was getting disappointed. Then Greg passed him a big package smiling. Sam opened it up and found the humongous egg. Magically, it hatched as soon as he opened it, and inside, it was a little humongous chick.

Sam looked at Greg and said, “Thank You!!!” Greg smiled more.

Sam raised the chick and lived happily with his grown-up humongous chicken ever after.
