Aren;t they annoying? :) Anyway, here it is!

~Prologue~

It was quiet. Too quiet.
Everybody knew something was amiss; it was in the air. The deathly silence hung there, waiting to be shattered, as is a pottery bowl when it hits the ground. The mist seemed just as quiet; there was no wind stirring it. As the village waited in silence, a young girl slid into the crowd.
She had very light brown hair: thin and wispy, circling her pale, pinched face. She wore a traveler’s garment, and a light grey cloak pinned with a crimson brooch. But her eyes set her apart from the rest of the town, still silent, still tense.
Her eyes were dark brown, almost black, and looked more intelligent than the eyes of any young girl. They were proud eyes, but sad, holding a past no one could imagine. Then they flashed angrily as she looked around the small, once cozy village.
They girls dry, cracked lips opened, and she spoke.
“I am Tara, Sword Maiden of Caradon,” she said. Then the mist began to rise. The villagers looked at her; perplexed. Who was this girl? When had she come? They wondered in their minds. Then a wind began to rise. The girl’s cloak billowed in the wind, and it toppled over flower pots and such things. Then, with a bloodcurdling cry, she drew her sword, and then she froze, a statue to be forever.
