in a state of constant wonder
February 27th, 2006
The Earth was young and the Moon was new when Yari, son of Hadfeld, took up the name of the king: Adusir. And he was king of the Farthenhill, and Yari Adusir governed the land with a kind heart and a firm rule. Farthenhill prospered under his reign, and the reign of his son Regifell also. And it came to pass that the line of Adusir was strong and majestic, bearing such kings of men that Farthenhill caught the eye of the Elves.
And the Elfin king, Ethlion, made an alliance with the line of Adusir that could not be broken until the very mountains cried out their lament for the fallen world. Many an Age passed and the alliance was not broken.
Young king Tahlion Adusir, son of Walimir Adusir fell in battle, pierced by seven arrows, and the line was broken. The power of the Elves diminished and they fell into darkness and shadow, and the great kingdom of Farthenhill crumbled.
A shadow crept over the fallen civilization. A cruel, heartless man declared himself King, and none dared oppose him. The Elves were no match for him, and soon they fled to the unknown lands of the north.
The new king, Alamon Gariye, ruled for many Ages. And a rumor spread of this immortal king, so word reached the ears of an Elfin fortune teller. She looked into his future and saw his defeat, yet told none of it. She waited patiently until the time was right and she could finally reveal the secret; the time was right and she could reveal the secret that could very well be the undoing of this ‘immortal’ king.
