The fresh smell of chicken fried and grilled with creamy barbecue sauce and garlic cloves allover. Corn with milky buttermilk butter; bread rolls with heavy sour cream cheese. Fresh fruit flows through every room, almost as though I want to eat the non- visible air.
Exposed art and literature hang on walls and on desk tops. The feeling of being in an exotic place where all culture comes together. African American brothers hang over the couches and windows. Wood work and hand made crafts give this house a respectful color and vibe. Dark reddish colors and blues.
The sound of nature’s pets and insects, a relaxed sound, feels out the entire house. Not a noise you can hear and not a movement can be seen. One talks at one time. Respect is the answer in that house. The sound of politeness makes me feel comfortable and safe and secure.
I see a beautiful angel made by hand with all the TLC you can give it. Fat, heavy baby dolls lay so gallantly on their beds or swings. Candles standing by color and height create a natural and elegant vibe, almost as though I’m dancing with different patterns and colors.
Apples, apples every where, in the kitchen, on the table, almost as if I can just take apples off of anything and enjoy. Yum, the sweet taste of a juicy apple. Cinnamon sprinkled on every last piece. Cake laying out in the crystal clear cake dish, looking so tasty and elegant. A bit of creamy frosting and cinnamon swirled in the middle of the warm tasty wheat.
My connection to this room is spectacular. I feel safe, warm. No one can hurt me when I’m here; I’m in the safe arms of Mrs. Brenda. When I go to sleep the peaceful air lefts me up and takes me on a journey. What a nice clean and elegant house to be in. I can get all the personal space I need without being rude or disrespectful.
