Chapter 27 in View

Talen lay on the ground, the cold hard forest floor. He lay, contemplating what had happened in those last few minutes.
Vuum.
The arrow hit Backdraft in the heart, a wound. He started to plunge to the ground. Talen hung on for dear life. In a few seconds Backdraft crashed to the ground. Then the world went black. Talen remembered it all. He looked around; he lay next to his winged companion’s rigid body. He smiled, “Rest peacefully, friend.” Then he started to laugh. Then everything went black, again.
