Kristy chewed one of her hairs as she rode Dudy through the dense jungle. Hooty flew along effortlessly beside her as Tody bounced up and down on Kristy's lap. Seeing his discomfort, Kristy called him into his Pokeball. Suddenly, a dark shadow leapt out of nowhere. "It's Mewtwo!" cried Kristy. Just then, a boy with ruffled-looking hair leapt out of nowhere. "Come ba-" he started, but then he called:"Shadow Ball attack! Get that Hoothoot!" Kristy stuck out her hand and caught the Shadow Ball.
"Wha-?" cried the boy. Kristy stuck her enhanced Pokedex, which even analyzed humans, at him.
"DANNY," said her Pokedex. "A MEMBER OF TEAM ROCKET. HE HAS ONLY PHYSIC POKEMON. ANALYZING HIS POKEMON... MEWTWO, MEW, ALAKAZAM, AND ONE UNKNOWN POKEMON." Kristy gasped, but quickly called, "Hooty, Physic!"
