Brian leapt from Dragoner's back, landing smoothly on both feet. He turned to help Katie and Kristy down-but they weren't there!
"Ahem," said a voice behind him. Kristy and Katie stood there. "Let's go!" said Katie! The three of them rushed into the gym, followed by Dragoner(who had reverted to her normal form).
Dudy was tied to a post, yelling in pain as he was whipped by Danny. Danny chuckled. "You won't be shadowrized, you pay the price!" he laughed.
"Dudy!" whispered Kristy. She suddenly snapped.
"OKAY! PUT YOUR HANDS UP AND MARCH!" she screamed, leaping into plain view and facing Danny angrily. Danny swung around in surprise, and then grinned.
"So you've come to take back your Pokemon," he chuckled. "Sorry! I've got other Pokemon that you'll have to battle! Go Mew!" The pink legendary appeared on the field, giving out cries of, "Mew!"
Katie stepped out. "Let me handle this one. He stole my Ninetales, after all." She called to Volcano, who began to glow with anger. Volcano charged forward, determined to avenge her stolen friend. She struck the Mew with amazing velocity.
"For each action," quoted Danny, "there is an equal and opposite...reaction!" Mew charged forth, sending Volcano flying into a wall.
"That's not equal! This is!" cried Katie, as Volcano blasted Mew into the wall so hard that it actually left a dent. The battle went back and forth, neither Pokemon showing signs of fatigue. However, Volcano was tiring, apparantly from Mew's Physic power. Danny grinned, as if confident that Dudy would be his forever.
Back in the sidelines, a tear trickled down Kristy's cheek.
