No, of course he didn't just SIT AROUND!, uno how in some stories they skip a lot basically it's a way of saying that during that period of time the main charater wasn't doing anything important or wasn't doing anything that the readers NEEDED to know. and 12:00 the new day and 8:00am the same day, get it now?
