Anything, Everything, and yet nothing: guitar solo

"I don't get it," Ryan began. "What are you saying about Tara?"

I covered my face with my book, pretending not to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Well, Tara is-"

Tara is me. That's one thing I'll never forget. Two of the most popular boys were talking about a loser like me. It made me feel like I was popular- for only a second. I just didn't understand why they'd even bring up my name.

"Forget it. You KNOW I'm gonna ask her out today. I know you like Tara. It's clear. But I can tell she doesn't like you. Just give it up!"

Woah, flashback and pause. That STILL freaks me out.

But Ryan was wrong. I did like Chase, and I would most definitely turn down Ryan's offer. This proves how stupid Ryan really is. He thinks he knows the girl he likes, but in reality, he knows nothing about her.

But on the plus side, Chase liked me, and since I liked him, it wasn't one-sided.

And just then, Chase pulled out his guitar from under his desk, and began to play it. The melody was soft and carried itself toward me, letting me be able to FINALLY relax.
