Jack felt the breeze in his face, the sun shining down upon the ship. It was the perfect day for sailing across the wide blue. Of course, to Jack, every day was perfect for sailing across the wide blue. To bad it was his turn to do the dishes instead of standing on the top of the sail like he did every morning like this. Instead, he had to listen to the screams of Ms. Adams, the cook while he broke every single dish he tried to pick up. Doing dishes wasn't his thing.
"Why I'll say," said Ms. Adams,"you are the worst dishwasher on the ship. Not like Annie. Why can't you be more like Annie?"
Annie was like the cook's "pet". Everyone hated her.
"I don't want to be more like Annie," said Jack to himself,"Nobody does, hopefully."
After doing the dishes, he ended up going to the top sail with his best friend, Joey. "So, whatcha been doing Jack," said Joey teasing,"I've a been a waiting up here for you for about a hour or so. It was terrible."
"Shut up Joey," said Jack a bit irritably.
"I've been hearing things," said Joey, "The cook was talking about an special event to the Cap today. Spossedly secret."
"That's nice Joey. I've been doing dishes next to the cook this morning all day. You couldn't have possibly heard her."
"Well, maybe it ain't the cook who did the talking. But I did hear a somebody." Joey replied anxiously.
Then, dramatic silence occured with the sound of the meeting bell. "Talk about deshavou." said Jack.
