Dave almost had it in his hands. The Red Crystal would soon be his to display to everyone. Just a few more steps further, a few more inches... SLAP!
Someone had slapped Dave across the face and took the Red Crystal. Dave suddenly realized who it was. The enemy of his childhood pirate ship.
"Give that back you monster!" said Dave menacingly while he pounced on him, yanking it out of his hands,"I deserve it!"
"Oh no you don't!" cried the enemy boy, tearing it out of Dave's hands. Both of them screamed in agony as the tore each other's hair, beat each other up, and lost their soul to the task, the mission of their life. Then, fate came. The fate that would go on for 3000 years.
Suddenly a creature who was lurking in the darkness that was watching jumped up our of his lair and threw them off the cliff and grabbed his Red Crystals happily.
It had happened, every 100 years that same thing happened over and over again, except a surprise was waiting for the creature this year. There would be six people instead of two.
That was what was going through everyone's mind as they recalled the story of the Red Crystals.
Jack came up shakily, along with Annie and Eddie who were also quite shaken up. They took there oath, and came back to their seats.
"You all have your missions," said the Captain shockingly also shaken,"And you will accomplish them or your souls will be lost in the dead fate of guilt. You must get there before the other shiplads and ladies, or so help you. We will drop you off at Naples with 3000 red rubies to spend on your quest, we will give you no information on the location of your item, no hints whatsoever. Be back sharp at 10 o'clock here where I will give you your rubies and you will unload. Good Luck all of you."
Jack headed to his quarters, feeling the same way as everyone else. Desperate and scared.
