(I began writing this on May 30, 2004.)
Acorn shifted the bed and stepped backwards to take a look at it. It didn’t look just right, yet...
“No, no, no!” Acorn said, shaking her head. She pushed the bed more to the right.
Acorn was just a normal girl, rearranging her room to look just right. Ok, maybe she wasn’t exactly a normal girl.
She wasn’t exactly a normal Shiftry, either.
What is a Shiftry, you ask? A Shiftry is the evolved form of Nuzleaf, a Dark- and Grass-type Pokémon. And Acorn was
no exception. Except for the fact that she was looking more and more like a human girl each day. For example, it
was just yesterday that she had odd stumps on her feet. She tripped over things easily, and she had trouble walking.
But this morning, those stumps were gone.
“Someday I’ll be a normal human,” Acorn said. She sighed, looking at her room and shaking her head. “I’ll work on it
later.”
