Strangers- Chapter 2

in The Awesomest Place!

"First unheard message," my voice mail stated in a robotic voice.   "Hey, Amy, it's Katie. You won't BELIEVE-" I sighed.  "Message deleted. Next message." There was a sound of shuffling, then a deep voice said, "I know who you are," And hung up. I froze, my blood turning cold as ice. My mind flashed back to that man that was standing there. These things had to be connected. I decided not to panic, and take things slowly.  "Amy! I'm home!" My mom shouted from down the stairs. The door slammed shut, and she dropped her briefcase onto the rug. Trampling down the stairs, I greeted her with a tight hug.  "Hey, mom." I tried to hide my fear, and kissed her lightly on the cheek. My mom smiled, and said, "We're going out for dinner tonight. Your favorite place!" I grinned shakily. I probably should've told her, but I thought it would end up a mess.
I slammed the car door open, but something caught my eye. I glanced around and screamed my head off. The man was standing there, staring at me. He came closer.
"Amy, it's me," he called softly. I couldn't move.
"Amy? You ok?" my mom's voice called. The man immediately darted into the bushes, and ran onto the street.
"Y-yes," I stammered.
He looked slightly familiar close up. His brown hair, bright, huge blue eyes that looked like shattered pieces of gas.

Like it. It's rather creepy.

Like it. It's rather creepy. First paragraph though has a lot of information in it. Take it slower and maybe give more detail on the single ideas. It's a bit rushed. Continue!

"
The road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins a larger way
Where many paths and errands meet."
