Christmas Poetry

M: May peace and love come to this village
E: Enlighten those who are poor in spirit
R: Right now, I think about all who are poor and lonely or have a family dead or far away
R: Round and round the stores parents run
Y: You and God shall be reunited again tonight

C: Carolers singing a happy tune
H: Holiday feelings in the air
R: Red and white candy canes are all over the street
I: I watch and turn the pages of my book
S: Silently, I touch the railing near the Old General store full of snow
T: Today, all the green, lush trees will be gone
M: “May your Christmas be merry and bright!” people keep saying
A: As I stand and look, I see stores with sparkling lights and candy canes
S: Simple and clear, it is Christmas
