Chapter 3
The Saving of New Year

Angel kept close to Pure, she did not want to get lost in this place. She followed Pure mostly until she was a little confused. "Aaron, where are we heading?"Angel asked him. Pure looked around. "Lets try that opening over there,"he told her,"I think I saw something move." So Angel followed Pure to the opening in the ground, it had stairs leading down into it. "I would say that's where they are,"Angel told Pure. He nodded and then flew in. Angel slid in after him.
Pure had already headed down a hallway. Angel continued to follow him. As she slid on the purple energy around her legs she saw a blast of darkness around the corner. Angel slip quickly around the sharp turn to see Pure punching a snow monster. As his fist hit a whole was left in its stomach. Angel saw Pure needed some help, so she shut her eyes and consentrated. Angel suddeny swung her arm up and the snow monster was trapped in a cage made out of rock. Pure turned and smiled at her, and then punched the snowy monster again since now it was still. His fist this time hit in its head and the snow forming the human shape body fell to the ground.
There was two more snow monsters heading their way. Angel shut her eys again and then stomped on the ground. Then suddenly the two monsters were trapped in quick sand. They were in half way under, or half way up, and Pure flew overstop of them and kicked their heads off. Pure continued to move on down the tunnel while Angel jumped towards him and followed.
A little ahead was three more snow monsters, Pure had already started on one of them by the time Angel got caught up to him. Once more Angel shut her eyes and concentrated. Not a moment later the two monsters that were not being foughten were kept away from Pure by a rock wall. She saw Pure was bussy, so she desidedd to finish off the other two. She moved her mands slowly together, as she did that so did the rock walls around the two monsters. A minutes later they were a pile of snow on the moist tunnel ground. Pure had just finished his foe as Angel had gone ahead. He flew after her, he did not want her to get hurt.
Angel stopped quickly, right in front of her was ten snow monsters, they were guarding Baby New Year. She closed her eyes, and a second later she was invisable. She stopped the purple energy around her feet so they could not see her. Angel did not want to take a risk at getting through the crowd to Baby New Year without Pure with her, so she hid against the wall waiting for Pure to come.
Pure was suddenly pulled against the wall of the tunnel, it felt as if someone had grabbed him. "Shhhhh...it's me, Rock,"he heard. He knew Angel must have used her invisabilty to hide from the monsters. "I have an idea,:the unseeable Angel told him. "If you can get all of the snow monsters to follow you, or just most of them, I will sneak past the remaining monsters and grab Baby New Year,"she said to him. Pure nodded. "Stay here until they follow me,"he told her not sure where she was. He flew a little higher and then went intothe room all the monsters where.
"Hey stupids, over here,"he screamed at them all. All of the snow monsters turned to look at him, more than half of them ran after him as he ran backwards past Angel. They passed her without ever turning to see her. Angel walked quietly into the room Pure had been in. She tip toed around three of the monsters and continued to do so. Once behind Baby New Year she put her hands on his mouth and on his head. The pudgy little baby was then turned invisable. He made no sounds since Angel's hand was over his mouth. She picked him up and just bairly slipped pass the monsters. Angel had feared one had heard her, but she was wrong.
As she walked down the tunnel with Baby New Year in her arms Angel heard the snow monsters coming back, they must had lost interest in Pure. Angel quickly threw herslef against the wall as they passed her. They made noises that sounded very angery. She kept walked through the tunnel and finally came to where she could walk up to see the pond and trees again. Angel walked up the stairs and waiting for her at the top was Pure.
Angel turned off her and Baby New Year's invisability to reveal themselfs unharmed. Pure ran up to them. "Did it work fine?"he asked her quickly. She nodded and looked down at the baby in her arms. He had a little hair and hazel eyes. He was smiling up at her, she smiled back. Baby New Year laughed and giggled as she and Pure walked out of the cave. Once out of the cave they saw that it was late. Everyone was done skiing, it was quiet, and the only light they could see for miles was the fire at the ranch. Pure and Angel used their normal ways to get back to the ranch.
