For my mommy, daddy, sisters, brothers, and family, who kept a smile on my face, and my teacher, Miss Chang, who made me believe I could do it. “This rocks” Alyson sang as she skipped to the Mayfield library. Alyson was a tall, bright, and artistic girl. Her hair is the color of a sandy beach; her eyes are the color of a clear blue sky. She was always spotted on the computer or reading a book. Alyson was walking into the Mayfield library. The Mayfield library was Alyson’s favorite place. It was filled with books, and had this warm and cozy feeling to it. Alyson sat in a chair and pulled out her favorite book, The Sisters Club, from her pink and gray rolling book bag. Suddenly the lights went out, click, click. Ahhhhh , a horrible scream sounded. It was Miss Peele! The lights came back on and the librarian was gone! Alyson heard the sound of tires squealing, she turned around and the door was wide open. Alyson ran to the police station. She told the police the whole story, but nobody believed her. Alyson began to hear the police giggle, soon she noticed that they weren’t regular police. Alyson ran out of the police station. She sat on the sidewalk far away. She began to think. “What’s going on?” Alyson thought. Alyson strode back to the library and got on a computer and typed “Halloween in Mayfield”. “It says, Mayfield does pranks on Halloween”, Alyson said. Alyson stomped back to the police station. “I know you’re pulling a prank on me!” Alyson shouted. Then she began to think. “Wait a minute, tell me where Miss Peele is!” she demanded. No one answered, and then a lady from the back took off her hat. “It’s you Miss Peele!” Alyson said in excitement. “I thought you were gone”. They all began to laugh and everything was back to normal.
