Close your eyes

in over her head

Close your eyes.

Do you see it?
Can you see the brilliant sky, the color of a wish?
Do you see the blue-green water reflecting, reflecting the soul to the sky?
Does the sparkling of a cold, clear waterfall look like diamonds, precious as diamonds?
Will you choose see it?

Do you hear it?
The birds are singing joy, will you choose to stop and listen?
Does a bubbling creak laugh of happiness?
Does the wind whisper a melody, will you hum the tune?
Will you choose to hear it?

Do you feel it?
Is the sun shining the warmth of a smile upon your face?
If you take a minute, can you feel the embrace
as the pains of an earthly day slip away?
Look up!
As refreshing rains fall softly,
Will you choose to feel it?

Open you eyes.
Did you live it?
Only for a moment, were you hoping it would stay?
and stay,
and stay?
Yes, perhaps you could remain there forever, would you like to know the way?
I know you felt something, heard something, saw something,
but no matter how you try,
Search the ends of the earth, no such place exists here.

For this, this place, this paradise,
you think you much search.
not higher or deeper
nor east or west
nor from end to end and back again.
No, a place like this, in truth, exists
only when you stop the search
and let life come
and simply
Be.
