a young girl awoke to the sound of the wind blowing softly through the trees. as she got up she noticed where she was. ''i must be insane to have run away like that'' she whispered to herself as she glanced over to the backpack beside her,she picked it up and began walking along the path which lead to the town. _____________________________________________________________ the girl stoped a few feet away from the gate. a gourd walked up slowly and carfully to the young child. "state your buisness" he comanded slightly kindly as he noticed the girl was afraid, the girl looked up with bright eyes that seemed almost black."my name is yumi and i have come to live here... may i please come in?" she replied politely, the gourd thought this through a moment then made his choice,"yes come with me to the kazakage's office and he will decide if you can stay" the gourd said as flatly as he could, though it was hard to be tough with this sad child. as they walked through the village the gourd looked down at yumi who seemed to be in deep thought.they entered a big building.a kind woman at a desk came up and asked yumi if she would like some candy."no thank you ma'am'' yumi replied politely,she crossed the room and sat in a small chair. the woman came back and looked down kindly at the small girl."the kazakage will see you know" she said, yumi got up and walked through a big door leading to the office, a young man was seated behind a big desk,he looked up,''yes?'' he asked ''e-excuse me sir but i would like premision to stay in this village"yumi said " i see well who exactly are you?"he replied, yumi took a deep breath prepairing to tell him everything, sudenly a blond girl ran into the room panting, 'she lookes scared' yumi thought as the girl panted, "what is it temari?"the kazakage asked. the girl did'nt notice yumi standing there in the back. "we lost him!" she said upset, he sighed and shook his head slightly,"then go find him"he said blankly, the blon girl nodded and began to walk out when the kazakage yelled''wait bring her with you'' he called, temari who had just noticed the young child in the back nodded,the kazakage looked at yumi then at temari "ask the girl the basic questions then if she sounds honest then she may stay here,got it?" he asked, temari nodded. yumi followed the blond girl through the village. "whats your name?" temari asked kindly, yumi thought about it and replied as honest as posible '' my name is yumi'' she said in a small, whispery voice, temari seemed to be waiting, then looked down at the small child, "last name?" she said, yumi shook her head slowly and looked down. temari nodded "well we need to tell him your last name so we can make one up" temari said sweetly, she began thinking'' i got it your name can be yumi katake, sound good?'' she asked, yumi nodded. ''well,how old are you?'' temari asked, ''five and a half'' yumi replied softly, ''alright, my names temari''.
