Alright, I'm planning on publishing a book I've written. I've spent basically the whole summer and beginning of the school year on it, and I've written a lot lately. I'm posting the first two paragraphs of it. Please tell me if it's good, and tell me how to improve. Thankies! :)

Chapter 1

The morning sun shone brilliantly with the promise of coming excitement for the day. Colorful strips of mixed red, pink, yellow and orange covered the sky. The ball of light seemed to blend into the bright colors, making them glow beautifully. It was a very peaceful scene to gaze upon. It was rather chilly, and there was a slight breeze every now and then. The grass sparkled with dew. The wind sent several multi- colored leaves spiraling around, then falling lifelessly to the wet ground. The fresh scent of pine and flowers lingered in the forest air. Princess Aviana galloped down the dirt road on her muscular, white horse named Leaf. She had a pale, heart-shaped face and gleaming sea green eyes. She had a tall, slender figure and strong arms. Her dark hair fell loose onto her back. It blew wildly behind her head in a glossy stream. She halted her horse to a stop. Aviana glanced around. Her golden circlet glinted in the sun. Governess Mary would probably wake up soon in a horrible mood. She sighed with displeasure and reluctantly sped out of the calm forest.
Aviana stopped at the large palace and tied her horse up in the stables. She wiped beads of sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand and sighed with relief. Aviana stumbled into the palace and waved at the guards. They smiled at her. She rushed up to her bed chamber and threw herself onto her bed. It was stuffed with swan feathers, and the covers were soft and made of silk. Streaks of sunlight streamed in through the glazed windows. Soft curtains were draped lazily over them. Soon, her governess would storm into her room and demand to know where she had been.

I think it will be hard to get published because of the rejection and subjective part, so don't be disapointed!
