*the story so far*
Abilene has been sick several times but never like this. She has tuberculosis. In a week or so, Abilene will die.
**********************************************

Abilene lied on her death bed for about five days. Friends, family, and her teachers came to visit her continuously. They were all depressed over Abilene dying.

One day a news reporter was in the hospital talking to the coordinators. The two coordinators told the reporter Abilene's story. He was clearly moved by it. Swiftly, he marched to Abilene's room. He talked to Abilene and comforted her, Abilene didn't say much except one thing, "My last wish is hope. Hope for a new future in Heaven. I haven't had a great life here, so I hope I'm welcome in Heaven. I'm just laying here 'til I die, so there isn't much time left. All I want is hope. I want fate to sprinkle me with happiness."

Shortly after that reporter left, Abilene died. She died at exactly 8:19 PM. The light in her eyes disappeared, and the pink tone in her cheeks evaporated.

A few days later Abilene's wish was in the local newspaper. Her mother cried when she read it; the statement truly sounded like her dead daughter. She couldn't stop grieving, until she realized there's a little Abilene in everyone around her, protecting her. There was not just one Abilene anymore, there were eight, nine, ten, so many to count. It was in everyone she loved. It was in her hope.
