The Recreation Stone
by Jennifer
I walked through the graveyard to my aunt’s place. I didn’t care if it was raining , atleast people couldn’t see my tears. My aunt was the only family I had left for me. However, now that my last guardian is dead, I , Keira Lease, is now an orphan. I’m twelve years old , thirteen in less than 2 months. Some people say I pretty much act like a boy but I don’t see why. I mean I hate skirts, dresses, girly stuff and pretty much live on sports but thatstill isn’t enough proof for me. I am also five foot five inches. When I stood infront of a muddy puddle, something caught my eye. I was an odd looking stone. The stone had had many jagged edges and a star shape was right dab in the middle. “Hmm” I said in between sniff as I picked up the stone. I still wish my aunt, Emma, was still here. In a blink of an eye, silver mist rose from my aunt’s grave. Oh my gosh I thought. I wish my uncle was alive too. Then suddenly, another mist rose from my uncle’s grave right next to my aunt’s. I wish every family member in this graveyard was alive. To my surprise, about twenty mists rose. All of a sudden, I felt weak and dropped to my knees. I had to give strength to help my famlily back to life. “Stop!” I yelled while crying. My power suddenly gained back to me. I dropped the stone then suddenly all the mist faded away. I froze in place to catch my breath. When I got back to breathing steadily, I ran far away. I may have wanted my family back but that stone creeped my out.
