I Want to Cry, I Want to Fly

Author’s Note- I’m an emotional frickin wreck right now. This poem will probably be all over the place. People who I thought were my friends talked behind my back. Someone I was going out with broke up with me. A kid who I thought was as close as a bro ended up being a jerk. This is mostly about the ex-boy crap. Ugh. One month, one week. That’s we were. That’s all we will ever be.

I wanna cry,
Cry the tears of the betrayed.
I wanna fly.
Fly away from the people who hurt me.

How can you be so wrong about someone?
One who makes you smile,
Suddenly makes you cry.
I can’t breathe.

Everything collapses.
My life is torn from beneath your feet.
I’m falling,
Falling into the whole in my heart,
With sharp breaths, tears and anguish.

I’m not angry at you, no,
I’m angry at me.
For believing such a jerk,
For thinking you really loved me.

How could I love someone so cold,
Someone who could hurt me so badly,
Who could make me cry.
Oh I hate you.

I wanna cry,
