hey all u kiddpubbers.....guess what? i m typing from my bff's house. Her name is Abby and....yeah, she's my bff. i've known her since third grade and...she likes writing to, although she has trouble finishing stories...but the begginnings r always good....
this is 1 by her, called 'The Book of Everything'. Enjoy!
A book. Or more like a journal. At least, that's what everyone thought it was. She had it with her everyday since the 3rd grade when she moved here to upstate NY. Opened or closed, the 10 inch lime green book with it's pink buckle was always in her hand. Ellie had big eyes. Big brown mysterious eyes that wandered around every corner, and back down to her journal. Seeing as she never talked, so one talked to her. She blended in to the environment. People knew she was there, but they didn't. She was invisible, transparent, unnoticed. And then came the day, it was gone. The book with the pink buckle was no where near Ellie. Gone. Everyone noticed. After all, it had basically became part of her being. And to have a part of that taken away... that's kind of noticeable. The day started normally. Chase scribbling on the white board, Emma zoned out in her new book, Kelly playing hand games with Laura, you get the picture. Then Ellie walked in at 7:55 and sat down in a desk in the back corner like always. But something was different. Her book was nowhere in sight. It took awhile, but soon, everyone was sneaking peaks back at her and whispering. Basically, everyone noticed the book being gone except the actual girl who has held it everyday since, well 4 years ago now. The rest of the day went on mostly like that. After school Chase went over to his locker and peeked around it at Ellie who was gathering her things with very little expression on her face. As soon as she closed the locker and walked away, Chase was over at her locker yanking it open looking for the book. Or clue to why she didn't have it today...Anything!
He found nothing. Closing the locker, disappointed, Chase ran around the corner Ellie had and saw her, next to the water fountain walking briskly but keeping her head down clutching some science books. Chase couldn't decide whether to yell for her to see what was up today and why she didnt' have her book or follow her home, or just go home. He went with his 2nd thought because seeing as he had never heard her talk but still really wanted to know why she didn't have her book, it seemed like the right one. Ellie was turning the corner now onto the big steeps in the front of the school. Chase ran down the hallway and jerked to a stop before the stairs. Peeking around the corner to make sure the Ellie wasn't looking, Chase tip-toed down the stairs. Ellie was now out the door. The curious kid followed her. But as soon as he slipped out the door, she was our of sight.
That was the beginning of my story. I am Abby, Tess's bff.
