Max and the military chase
by devang
“Eeeeha,” a cowboy named max shouted as he jumped on his horse to blast off into the desert. Max was a 9 year old boy who always wore a red cowboy hat. He was born in Canada, but moved to Texas. He had a horse, he named him Blaster because Blaster ran so fast, he could beat the trains coming by. One night Max and Blaster saw a strange light coming from the woods. Let’s go boy!” Max cried. It was the military people and they had horses and foals with them. All of a sudden the military saw Max and Blaster. Without warning, all of the military people chased them like cats and dogs. “Run boy, run, ” Max shouted as they started shooting. The next thing Max knew was, he couldn’t reach home in time and he crossed the border of U.S and Mexico. “I am in trouble,” Max said thinking of his mother scolding him. After some time Max and Blaster stopped on a place which was right in the middle of the desert. Max and Blaster were about to reach Mexico city and were so tired that they could sleep for unlimited time. “Drrr”, a sound of a machine gun came, Max got scared and looked back, he saw nothing. The sound came again and was louder, he still saw nothing. The voice came again and Max saw military chasing him. “Look out, Blaster!” max shouted as one military caught Blasters neck to cage him. The headquarters of the military were somewhere near the border of U.S and Mexico, the military took Max and blaster there. Weeks past by Max was still caged in the headquarters , there was no sign of where they were. Max got a great idea, he thought that he could go to the opposite direction he came from. A few weeks later a soldier came and opened the cage to give them food. When the soldier opened the cage max and Blaster ran away. One military general saw them and chased them. Max and blaster had a tough task to complete, they had to jump mountain to mountain and the General was going to shoot them. “Go boy go,” Max shouted as Blaster started to run to jump over the mountains, Max closed his eyes. “Why, why do I get the feeling home is near me? ,” Max whispered looking at his horse. “I just crossed the border!” Max screamed as he hit the ground. After all, the general , sadly, went back nodding his head. Max and blaster went back home and promised that they would never do that again. Max really promised that! And remembering the event, he hugged blaster for doing such a great job.
