Chapter 2: Disaster
Stilget looked around his village, in awe. Everything was in ruins. The nests that the Dramans slept in were torn down. Bodies of his fellow villages lay everywhere. Stilget walked around his village, examining as he went. He noticed that the bodies weren't killed from the arrows of humans, but they were almost burned. Dramans couldn't be burned. Their skin was very tough and strong. Stilget also saw that the vegetation was black and dead. Somehow, everything was dead. Suddenly, Stilget heard a moan from under a pile of rubble. He pulled away the remains of a fallen nest, and found a surviving Draman. Stilget pulled the Draman out of the nest. He realized that the Draman was a warrior, named Thynm. Thynm looked was in bad shape. His skin was again, almost burnt looking. What it could be, Stilget didn't know. He only knew that Thynm didn't have much more time to live.
"Thynm! What happened here?" Stilget asked. Thynm struggled to sit up, but failed. He weakly answered,
"Golgiths. Many of them. They swarmed the village and- killed everyone." Thynm fell silent. Stilget was shocked. Of course! Golgiths were the only creatures that could kill so many in such little time. Golgiths had the ability to breath death. Their breath killed anything it fell upon. That was what Stilget saw on the skin of the Draman. The blacken dead skin. Then, Thynm moaned again, bring Stilget back from his thoughts. He must find a cure for Thynm, before it was too late. Suddenly, a bright light fell upon them all. Down from the sky, descended a great spirit that was only a fairy tale to some: The Lady of the Lake. She gracefully came down and shined her light upon Thynm. His wounds were instantly healed. The Lady then silently drifted over to Stilget and gave him a shining bracelet. Then, she spoke,
"Stilget, use and believe in this bracelet when you look in the face of danger." Stilget put on the bracelet, a perfect fit. The Lady began to float back to the skies.
"Wait!" Stilget exclaimed. It was too late, the Lady of the Lake was gone. Stilget examined the bracelet around his wrist. It gleamed a bright blue color. Stilget was still wondering what powers it possessed when Thynm got up. Thynm walked over to where his nest once stood. He sadly looked at the destruction of the village, then turned to Stilget,
"We are the last surviving Dramans, and we must now fight against this uprising evil, to save our realm."
