This is one of my all-time favorite books. Strictly speaking, I normally read books with only human characters- but this one was amazing. Right from the start I was intrigued by the dark time of the book. The tad bit of magic that was added later on made me unable to put it down! My most favorite part was the reunion of Larka and Fell (the main characters). I was shocked. Twists and turns throughout the dark novel were completely unexpected- amazing still. I loved (being the nerd-ish person I am) how the author added in facts about the time period in Romania. The ending of this book adds a bit of sadness too- resulting in (my opinion) the perfect book.
