The Leaders that heped us win the Revlutionary war were Colonel William Multrie and Francis Marion also know as the `Swamp Fox` and the reson his nickname was the swamp fox because he was sneaky like a fox and he always went into the swamps and that is how he got his nickname. But the more important reson is because him and his crew had very little food and a few supplies but however, Marion and his crew kept on fighting for freedom. His crewmade musket balls out of metal cups and plates and they made swords out of saw blades and Marion led his men on a surprise attacks aginst the british ad that is how he help us wn the war. Colonal William Moultrie help us by defeating the british at Fort Sullivan but after beating a fleat of british and winning the war William Moultrie abd his crew renamed Fort Sullivan to Fort Moultrie. One more thing I for got to tell you is that Multries team fired the same cannon balls that the british fired at them.BAM!! BAM!! Rebecca Motte was a heroine and she was a Patriot and she took care of sick and wounded soldiers during the Revolutionary war.She sent enslaved africans from her plantation to help defend Charles Town. She allowed the Amicans army to set fire to her home to capture the british troops staying there. The representatives from South Carolina that signed the Declaration of Independence at the Second Continental Congress in 1776 were Edward Rutledge, Arthur Middleton, Tomas Lynch, and last but not least Tomas Heyward. Did you Know that? The Declaration of Independence was approved on July 4,1776 and it was a document and it stated American colonies were free and Independent state and no longer part of England. The Declaration of Independence was mostly written by Thomas Jefferson and John Rutledge
