From a safe distance

by Kate
in Mcdonalds ordering a three peice #9, to go please.

April 4th, 2008

Dew drops on a
simple, green
blade of grass
swaying in the
wind, a miniscule
wonder of the world
with a monumental
purpose in life

I look out my widow
past the glassy glare
I hear the painful
cracking of the leaves
as the mighty hawk
tears up his weak pray,
as I watch from a
safe distance.
