Daisy Duke and the Sparkling Plate

Once there was a girl named Daisy Duke. She was wandering by herself in her creek when she noticed a tiny sparkle in the water. As she went closer, the brighter it got. She grabbed the sparkling object and found that it was a beautiful tiny plate. There was a tiny script on the back of the plate. It said in very small letters, "New England, 1765" and a small name too hard to read. So Daisy went on the computer and looked up the date. She found out the dish was very popular back then, but almost all of them were lost in the war. The plate was pearl white, with a little scribble of tan in it. The plate remained a secret until two months later. Her dad saw it in her closet lock up and so he took it and researched the date and found out how expensive the tiny plate was. Daisy's dad just bragged and spread the news. One day he got a call from the president. The president wanted to see the tiny sparkly plate and read the name on the back. It turned out to be Thomas Jefferson's plate, the writer of the Declaration of Independence! Daisy's dad finally told how Daisy actually found the plate and it made the family rich and very popular. The plate was taken to a museum showing the front with a picture on the back, with the words printed on it. Just think! All that happened because a girl was walking in her creek and got curious.
