In 10,000 B.C. there was a being that stole your soul. The other beings of that time called it a drackle, also known as the stealer of souls. Now he's back for more. In present time, Mich was going outside. It was dark out still in this morning. Mich didn't mind the dark. Then he saw red eyes in the bushes. Then a strange creature came from the bushes. Mich knew what the creature was. It was the drackle! The drackle started to chase Mich. Then Mich thought the drackle gave up. When Mich stopped the drackle grabbed him. "Give me your soul", said the drackle in a scary voice. As it began, it was all over for Mich. His body lay lifeless and soulless on the ground. The drackle took what he wanted and returned to the woods slowly, with victory in every step he took. The drackle knew he could only take a soul a day. The next day Mindy was walking along the woods. The drackle came from the woods. Mindy screamed really loud and the drackle ran away. Mindy didn't stop screaming until her mom came. Mindy couldn't explain what happened. The drackle was starving for souls until he found one, Tom. Tom was coming home from football practice. The drackle came up behind Tom. Right when it begtan, it ended. The drackle took what he wanted - Tom's soul. Since then police reports have come in by the dozens. Parents called because their children were missing. Children called because their parents were missing. The drackle lived in the city now. When a person came, the drackle took the soul. That's how a population of 400 people in the city came down to 4 children. Only MIndy, Jake, Kim, and Slade were the only ones left on their street. They built a tree house so they could be safe. "Ya know, without parents it's nice." said Jake. "Yeah, I think so too," replied Kim. Slade was at the tree house with Mindy. "Jake flirts with Kim too much." "Yes, , but I think you're jealous," replied Mindy. "ME, nah," said Slade. That's when a fight began. The drackle came running after Kim. "Kim!" yelled Jake. "Stop that drackle NOW!" ordered Slade. Jake took a pocketknife out of his pocket and went after the drackle. "No, don't stop it. Kill it." said Jake in a grim voice. "Jake, be careful," said Mindy. "I will, I will be," said Jake. Kim was grabbed by the drackle. Then Jake threw the knife at the drackle. The drackle dropped Kim, took the knife out of his arm, and threw it on the ground. Then he ran into the woods. Jake ran to Kim. "Kim," said Jake. "Kim?" She got up and kissed him. "Thank you," she said to Jake. "Anything for you," replied Jake. Then they kissed again. Slade came over to Jake and said, "That's enough lover boy." "You are so totally jealous," said Mindy. "Am not," he replied. "It's not right. Just because there's no parents you can't just go kiss the first girl you see!!" Mindy said, "Then I'll just kiss the first boy I see." Then Mindy kissed Slade right on the lips. To be continued..... Part 2 "Wow!" said Jake in disbelief. Mindy stopped kissing Slade. Then she said, "See it's not as bad as you think it is." Slade just stood there like a statue. "Ah, maybe it was his first kiss from a girl," Jake said to break the silence. Slade then walked to the tree house. Kim then said, "Wow, why did you do that? "He seemed up tight. I wanted him to get back to the real world." replied Mindy. The drackle was back in the city after taking a policeman's soul. He was bored. It was no fun having to wait for a new day to take a soul. Back at the tree house, Mindy went up to talk to Slade. "Are you OK?" asked Mindy. "Yeah, that's just never happened before." Slade replied. There was silence for a moment. "Well, I have never done that before." Mindy finally said, but then added, "I'm sorry." "There's something I need to tell you." said Slade, "You can't tell Jake or Kim. I'm the reason the drackle is here." he said. "What do you mean?" replied Mindy. "I'm the....". "Mindy, Slade, get down here." Kim yelled. "What's wrong?" asked Mindy coming from the tree house. "Jake just ran to the city to get supplies." said Kim. "My gosh, that's where the drackle went." replied Mindy. "Let's get moving. We have to save Jake." said Slade. In the city the streets were empty. Jake went to the food market and then to the weapons shop. Slade, Mindy, and Kim went to the city. They finally found Jake. "Next time we'll go to the city together" said Kim. "Rahhh" screamed the drackle. "Watch out, drackle" said Slade. Mindy was about to be caught by the drackle but Slade jumped in the way. Slade was now in the drackle's grasp. "Give me your soul!" said the drackle. "No soul here, just a blaze." replied Slade. In a ball of fire, Slade was transformed from a nice kid to a firery beast. "Return the souls." said Slade. A giant blaze blew off Slade and the drackle was destroyed. The souls were returned. Families were back together. Slade was the only one missing. The beast had disappeared. Mindy was never going to know what Slade was about to say. She thought, "It's the end.......for now!"
