A Day at the Beach

It was a sunny day in the middle of July. Kelly and Amber were at Kelly's house. They were bored. They had nothing to do. "How about we go for a hike?" Amber said. "It's too hot outside," complained Kelly. All of a sudden Kelly's mom came in the room. "What are you girls doing?" asked Kelly's mom. "We don't know. We have nothing to do. We cannot think of anything we can do," said Kelly. "Well, why don't you girls go to the beach. It's beautiful outside today," suggested Kelly's Mom. "That's a wonderful idea!" said Amber. "Yeah! It sounds like a lot of fun," said Kelly. "Come on! Let's go!" said Amber. After they got their stuff, they headed down to the beach. Once they got there, they did not know what to do first. They decided to go swimming first. They put their stuff down and headed for the water. They played Marco Polo and water tag. They both were having so much fun. When they got out of the water, they decided to build a sandcastle. They wanted it to be huge! They used seashells and flags. It turned out to be gorgeous! They both had a lot of fun at the beach. They left the beach to get some ice cream. Kelly got orange and cream and Amber got cookies and cream. It was delicious! They both decided to come to the beach again tomorrow!
