The New House

Meet the Characters: Lily Morghan - a 10 year old girl who is in 5th grade at Hyde Park Elementary. She has long black hair and has a moody personality. Nate Dean - lives next door to Lilly. He is also 10 years old and goes to Hyde Park Elementary. He has short brown hair, glasses and braces. Like Lilly he has a moody personality. Brendon Dean - Nate's little brother. He is only 2 years old. Lauren Dean - Nates's and Brendon's big sister. She is 13 and goes to Hyde Park Middle School. Lauren is Lilly's best friend. She has medium length brown hair and braces. She usually has a happy personality. The Heartsons - now own the old house behind their home. In their family they have Reachel (5), Alyssa (10), and Nick(11), and Mr. and Mrs. Heartson (Mom and Dad). Mr. and Mrs. Dean - Father and Mother of Nate, Brendon and Lauren. Linens - The people who moved out of the old house Mr. Morghan - Lilly's dad. He owns his own construction company. Chapter 1 - The Surprise A long time ago, the Linens moved out of their white house with the white fence. The Linens' house just happened to be right behind the Heartson's house. Since the Linen's house was so beat up, they thought they would buy the house and fix it up for special parties or rent it to other people. To help them fix up the house, they called Lilly's dad, Mr. Morghan. He owns a construction business and if he would get paid a little, he would fix the house. Mr. Morghan said yes. A few days later Mr. Morghan went to go see the house. When he came back to his house he told Lilly the house was in such bad shape you could see outside through the wall. Lilly said she wanted to see the inside of the house, so Mr. Morghan took Lilly over to the old white house with the white fence. They had to go through the basement door because the front door was a solid plank of wood. On the way through the basement, Mr. Morghan said that when you get in the house you can see why robbers stole the furnace and the air conditioning unit. You could tell because it was as cold as an iceburg in there. Lilly started to walk into the bedroom. Lilly didn't know but Mr. Morghan hid around the corner. Lilly started to worry. She walked out of the room and Mr. Morghan popped out around the corner. She got mad because she thought something happened to him. Awhile later her dad started work. First he started with changing the blue door to the shiny wood door. While Mr. Morghan was fixing the door Lilly went down to the basement again. She heard a creaking sound in the distance. She went to investigate. Chapter 2 - School The next day at school, some bully told Lilly, Laurie and Nate to stay in the white house for one night. They were all scared at first, but finally they said they would do it but only if the bully gave them each $50. They all shook on it. The next day was Saturday and they all gathered at the front door with their bags and two days worth of food and drink. Later in the night they heard a noise coming from the basement. They got all brave and went downstairs. They saw that a boy just fell from the top of a pile of other boxes. They go back upstairs to watch some TV. Then they hear a noise outside that sounds like footsteps. They look outside and see a shadow moving very fast and it's carrying something strangely shaped. Chapter 3 - The Strange Shape They crept very quitely towards the clear sliding glass window to see if they could see anything. They see the shape again. This time they see what it is carrying.....a KNIFE!!
