Oasis chapter 2

Lindsay brushed back her curls and looked up at her mom. She relized now would be a perfect time to ask the questoin she had wanted to ask all day. "Mom where did you get that dress? It isn't that I don't like it, because I do.I was just suprised. Normally you are in jeans and a sweatshirt, I just want to know why your dressing so...."

"Hip?" her mom said finishing Lindsay's sentence. She watched as Lindsay nodded. "Well, kido I thought I would... should..... change my wordrobe a little. I thought this was a good way to start, so what do you think? And please be honest. I am your mother after all."

A knock at the door saved Lindsay from answering. She jumped up and waked over toward the door and turned the knob to reavel none other then.........

"Oh! Hi Cory! Come on in!" she said smililing. Then she turned to her confused mother. "Hey, Mom this is Cory my new friend. I met her today by the pool, and..... uh.." suddenly she got an idea, "hey, Mom? Yea uh... can Cory sleep over tonight?"

"Sure honey, as long as it is okay with her Parents, there is an ice cream booth right outside. I'll give you some money, but first go and find Cory's parents. We need to make sure it is ok."

"Alright mom see you later!"

They walked over to the door dissapeared behind the wooden, hand crafted door. They had only walked ten yards when Cory's shrill scream broke the silence. Red lights were flashing and the alarms were sounding. LInsay ran to the deck pulling Cory with her........................................
