Oasis chapter 5

Out of breath, Lindsey toppled on to the sandy shore of the island that seemed so distant only hours ago. Everyone was on the beach before her.

"What do we do now Dad?"

"Well, as you know, I used to be in Boy Scouts, and if you are stranded you need to make a shelter, first, that is. And next build a fire. Oh, and we will need some food. There may be some fruit on this island."

Out of the corner of her eye Lindsay watched Cory roll her eyes and mutter the word, "Nerd" under her breath.

"Daddy, what do I do?"

"Well you and Cory can probobly go and find some fruit or berries, but don't eat any, come and show them to me first. Your mother and I will try to build some kind of shelter, maybe a lean-to."

"Okay bye! See you later mom!"

As soon as she stepped through the underbrush she spotted a tree with fruit hanging from swaying branches. Now all she had to do was climb it.
