Chapter 5
“Look, guys,” I said, shutting the door of my locker, “Nick and I got in trouble, so I can’t go to the dance tomorrow or go to the movies with you on Saturday.”
“Yeah, but what did you get in trouble for?” Emily asked.
“He, um, punched me and I, um, punched him back,” I said.
Amy shook her head. “Great, you fought fire with fire and got yourself in trouble! Well, see you guys around. Gotta go to science,” Amy said, flipping her blonde hair as she left.
“Yeah, I’ve gotta go too,” Emily said. She smiled and imitated Amy by flipping her mousy brown hair and striking a funny pose.
Tammie and I laughed and Emily walked away.
“That Emily…” I said.
“Yeah, I know. So, shall we go to advanced literature?” Tammie said.
“Yes, we shall,” I said, grabbing the last of my books and shutting the locker door closed.

“What’s for lunch today?” I asked, as we sat down for lunch. I had packed that day.
“Um, it’s jello, a ham and cheese sandwich, and a bag of wheat Sun Chips,” Amy replied.
“Oh,” I said, unpacking a Caesar salad, a sprite can, and a container of strawberries.
“Yum,” Tammie said, eyeing my lunch.
“Here, my mom packed me Twinkies, but you can have them,” I said to my friends. I passed them the Twinkies and Tammie opened the package and ripped a piece out of one. Emily then snatched it out of Tammie’s hands and took a Twinkie for herself. She broke it in half and gave one half to Amy.
“So, what’s up?” Emily asked, turning to me.
“What do you mean?” I asked, blushing. I knew what she was going to do. She was going to ask exactly why I was punished.
“What I mean is why are you being punished? You’re mean to your brother, but you’re not THAT mean,” Emily said.
See? What did I tell you? She wants to know. She honestly wants to know.
“I, um, well, you see…” I stammered, tugging the collar of my gym uniform.
“Why is it any of your business, Em?” Amy asked.
“Yeah, no offense, but you’re always trying to get into people’s personal bubble,” Tammie said.
I smiled at Tammie and Amy and mouthed a thank you. They nodded, getting the message, and continued eating their Twinkies.
Emily’s face turned red. “Whatever,” she said. “It’s your personal business and I guess I shouldn’t be sticking my nose in it.”
Then the cafeteria silenced and a teacher dismissed the classes to recess.
When we were called, we walked outside and Amy and Tammie pulled me over.
“What really happened?” Amy asked.
“None of your beeswax,” I said, pushing them off of me.
“Whatever,” they said and we walked onto the blacktop.

I loved the first part-the second could have sortof joined the first in a way. The ending was a little strange and bland again-it didn't really make me interested to go on. If you could end it with someway to get the reader thinking, it would make it alot more interesting.

This was probably the worst chapter in this story. I'll use your ideas and make it better. Thanks!

[Ron said,] "Look, let me go back and hit Percy!"
"No," [Hermoine] answered firmly.
"It'll make me feel better!"
