Tropical Island

Tropical Island
by Zach G.

I was so excited! I was going to a tropical island. I was riding on a large boat. I saw the island. It was huge. I was wandering deeper and deeper on the island. I found a tropical place that was surrounded with tropical fruits. It was covered with leaves, sticks, and twine. There was a fire inside the fort and I unpacked my bags there. There was a chest, so I put my favorite book there. The book was called Inkheart. I started heading back. I heard a scream. I said, "Oh no! Mom and Dad!" I darted back as fast as I could, but I knew I was too late. I arrived at the shore and they were already gone. My stomach felt like I was on a rollercoaster. I was yelling for about a half hour. I searched the whole island almost, except for the tropical place. I got there - nothing. I became mad. I started wandering and I fell in a trap which seemed to be a cave. I heard voices. I ran toward the voices. I got there and saw they came from my mom and dad. We found a way out. We needed to find a way off the island. We did and finally got back home.
