Misty Snows Chapter One

in Forks!

My newest creation! Some parts are in French, but I'll translate. OH! And everyone, English or French, speaks with a heavily French accent. And Marie-Ange and Daniel are made of mist, and so... yah!

"Cette enfant! Il est genial!!" cried Marie-Ange. Her body touched Daniels, and a part of her humid body was transferred to him.

"Marie-Ange! Si tu continues ca, tu vas etre rien dans deux jours! Tu sais mieux que ca! Je sais que tu veut etre humain, mais on n'a pas de choix. On a ete ne comme ca. We're mist and we can't help it!!" Daniel had been practicing his English, which nobody understood. Marie-Ange didn't have a clue what he was saying.

Marie-Ange was fascinated by real people, which she was not. If she touched another one of her kind, the part of her that touched would be transferred to the other person. Her dad had past before Marie-Ange even gave him a hug. But hugs were deathly to Mists, which was the name of their race. How she wished she could've just given him one hug.

"Regarde cette enfant! Il joue avec sa mere! Et...ET REGARDE! Il la donne une caresse!" Marie-Ange was fascinated by all of the children. How she wished she could be one. But it was too dangerous for her out there, mist or not. She wouldn't know what to do. Just watching them through the telescope made tears well up in her eyes.

"Marie-Ange! What are you doing?! You keep on dreaming about being human but you know it won't happen. Plus, it's sunny outside there. We would evaporate." replied Daniel, flipping through his English language book. Marie-Ange looked at him, only understanding one word. Evaporate. She knew it in almost every language. It's what every Mist dreaded. Even when they were cold, the air conditioning was on. No warmth ever entered the house. There was only one window, and no blankets. Marie-Ange just wanted to cuddle up to a fireplace, she didn't know where, and drink some hot cocoa.

"Daniel! Tu sais que je n'aime pas parler d'evaporation!! Tu est si mechant!!" Marie-Ange didn't really mean it, but it still scared her to talk about it. She hated just the thought. Daniel KNEW evaporation was what killed their father, didn't he have any sympathy? Daniel was so rude sometimes.

Marie-Ange looked at him angrily. If she could, she would slap him, but she couldn't. When their mom left, the only rule she had was no physical touching. And so, in memory of mom, they kept that rule, especially because they didn't want to dissapear. Daniel burst out laughing.

"Tu essayes d'etre fache contre moi, non? C'est si drole de te voir comme ca! Tu penses: 'Si je pourrais te frapper, je faitent!' non?" he teased. Marie-Ange was filled with rage. Her body felt hot, and she fell to the ground.

"Marie! Marie-Ange! Non! Quesqui t'a arrive? Je t'aime Marie! Je t'aime!!" Daniel fell to the ground beside her. His moderately visible hair fell down onto her face. Marie-Ange looked like she was overheating! That was the worst for Mists. Overheating could mean death, but then Daniel was all alone. He turned up the air conditioning, closed the window and kissed her cheek.

"D...Dan... Aide moi! Je ne veut pas mourrir! Cherchez moi un verre d'eau froide. Je vais vivre," she said, lifting her head up. She knew what had happened. This had happened to a number of her family members before they ran away or died. She knew she could live.

Daniel came rushing with the glass of water.

TRANSLATIONS

"This child! He's amazing!"

"Marie-Ange! If you continue, you'll be nothing in two days!! You know better than that. I know that you want to be human, but we have no choice.

"Look at this kid!! He's playing with his mom! And AND LOOK! He's giving her a hug!"

"Daniel! You know I don't like talking about evaporation! You are so mean!!"

"You're trying to be mad at me!! It's funny to see you like this! You're thinking, 'If I could hit you, I would!' right?

"Marie! Marie-Ange! What's happening to you? I love you!! I love you!!"

"D...Dan... help me. I don't want to die! Get me a glass of cold water. I'll live,"

Here I am, commenting! It's an interesting concept, I like it. But I'm confused about a thing or two. One is: If they're mist, how do they hold water? AND why the Frech? But it's nice.
