I leave the library fuming, and only realize that fact that the book is still in my hand when I jerk it in a sort of motion in indignation - still walking, I turn it to its front and look at the title.

Darn. I let my hand slip down again, and stare straight ahead as my legs take me on to outside the school, where the bus is due. Thank God Gina left me alone - I wouldn't have wanted to blow up at her like I had at Finnigan.

I stop abruptly, my expression gathering itself into a frown.
OK. I admit it. I SHOULDN'T have blown up at her like that. It probably just got her even angrier, as was obvious from the way she flared back. But there was also curiosity - detectable in her eyes.
My mouth curved itself into a grin. I couldn't help it. 'And what are you doing this close to my face?'
Priceless.
I hunch my bag further up on my shoulder as I climb into the bus. I'm the first one on, I notice vaguely.
I take my usual seat.
