a million hearts
chocolate and
candy tarts

hugs and kisses
cute wishes
heart-shaped dishes
is this what you think of me?
curly blond hair
floating in the air
white wings in a pair
is this Cupid?
laughing and smiles
that go on for miles
dimpled cheeks
my personality reeks
finally can the real me speak?
I’m not that sweet
I’m not that cute
to be honest
I wear thick-soled boots
and old jeans
with patched-up seams
my hair is a mess
I don’t care for barrettes
my cheeks are pink
my nose isn’t red
I’m not adorable
just like I said
